If it's not working properly, your system will heat up quickly. If your power supply fan isn't working, replace it as soon as possible. For gaming systems with high-end CPUs and overclocked components, often the fastest fans can't keep up with the increased temperatures. To solve this problem, many gamers opt for water cooling kits as a way to cool the CPU. In a water cooling kit, a pump cycles cold water down to the CPU in self-contained tubes, then pumps the water out of the system where it can be cooled before returning to the CPU for additional cooling.
If you're comfortable performing a technical installation, water cooling kits are safe and relatively affordable. While overclocking can maximize the performance of your components, it also pushes your system's capabilities to the limit, which almost always results in higher temperatures. If you're overclocking with Ballistix modules, you can use our custom Ballistix M. Regardless of how you're overclocking, make sure you take additional precautions to improve your system's cooling ability.
It's not hard to keep your system cool, and with a few simple steps you can quickly have your system running at a more sustainable level than it was before. By taking action now to cool your system, you'll save money and increase the longevity of your system.
Our mission is to transform your system's performance — and your experience. The only way to do that is to help you learn. Our experts are here to help. How do I know? Its fan has been loudly and frequently telling me so all week long. Where are you placing your laptop? Find a hard, flat surface. The floor is not ideal because it tends to collect dust particles more easily. And contrary to what its name implies, your lap is also not the most optimal place to keep your laptop. There are various ways to address this.
The simplest is to purchase a can of compressed air and spray it into the vents in quick, short bursts. Be sure your machine is powered off and unplugged before doing so. You can also use a cotton swab to clean out any visible dust or suck it out using a computer vacuum.

I've made a custom table for it, I made a 13" by 8" hole in the table I know its a huge empty space! So basically I place my laptop on this, table wood covers only 2" from all four sides of laptop, rest of center is floating in the air.
After placing my laptop on the table I blow air towards it with a table fan similar to this, it has adjustable fan.
Your laptop should have vents in the back else this mod would'n't work. Sorry for my english. Jason Leo Honorable. Jan 22, 1 0 10, 0. A couple of things. LummusMaximus Honorable. Nov 1, 0 11, Well, here's an idea: purchase a cheap fan, the sort if which you'd use to cool an entire room. Put it sideways so the air moves upwards. Now put ice at the bottom of your fan.
The fan will move the cold air from the ice into the system. Also, remove the bottom cover so that more cool air can get in. Feb 17, 4 0 4, 1. Feb 21, 4 0 4, 0. Are the Extremely Low Prices Legit? Looking for a Gaming laptop that can run the latest Games at extreme settings. My laptop runs PC games extremely slowly, when it used to run perfectly. Post thread. Started by Wdawg Nov 3, Replies: 2. Laptop General Discussion. Laptop Tech Support. We all love to play games at their highest settings. High graphics settings offer better image quality while a high frame rate allows for smoother gameplay. However, this often puts more stress on both the processor and graphics card, especially if you are playing very hardware demanding games such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Metro Exodus, and Final Fantasy XV.
A lot more calculations, processing, and rendering have to be performed when games are played at high settings. So by limiting the frame rate FPS and lowering the graphics settings, you are able to reduce the load on these components and this helps them run cooler. Faulty fans are also another cause of overheating. When fans fail to spin at the required speed or stop working completely, your PC will definitely overheat.
Sometimes an error message pops up when there is a problem with the fans. Replacing fans will improve air intake and air circulation in the interior of your laptop and keep your laptop cool. Some cooling pads use a single large fan while others have as many as five smaller fans.
Cooling pads work by blowing air into the air intake vents at the bottom and increasing airflow around your computer. This improves air circulation and allows your laptop to take in air more freely. Havit, Thermaltake, and Cooler Master are some common laptop cooling brands.
Sometimes the reason why your gaming laptop is overheating has nothing to do with the laptop itself, but the environment in which you are gaming. This is especially true during the summers when temperatures get higher than normal.
But sometimes, for example, after a BIOS update, the fan configuration settings may get messed up and cause your computer to overheat. Therefore, it is worth checking the BIOS settings to ensure that the fan settings are properly configured. Once you are in the BIOS settings, go to advanced settings and then hardware monitor configuration. Under hardware monitor configuration, you should be able to find the fan configuration settings.
